Accessibility
Last updated 21 September 2026
OVRT Site Solutions wants everyone to be able to use this website, the Forge Field crew app and the Taperbook booking pages — including people who use a screen reader, larger text, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or who do not see colour well. This page says where things stand today, what we know is not right yet, and how to reach a person if something is in your way.
The standard we work to
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We do not claim to meet every part of it yet. We check each page and screen as we build it and fix what we find, and the gaps we know about are listed below rather than hidden.
This website
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the thing you have selected is visibly outlined.
- Headings are in order, images carry a text description, and the language of the page is declared so a screen reader pronounces it correctly.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without anything being cut off or overlapping.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's animations are turned off.
- Every button and link is at least 44 pixels tall, so it can be tapped without precision.
- The demo on the home page is the real app running inside a frame. It is a working app, not a description, and it is harder to follow with a screen reader. Nothing on this site depends on it — every fact it shows is also written on the page.
The Forge Field app
- Controls carry names that VoiceOver and TalkBack read out.
- Buttons are large — most are 56 pixels tall — because the app is used outdoors, with gloves, in weather.
- Pinch-to-zoom is never blocked.
- If your phone is set to reduce motion, the app's animations are turned off.
Taperbook booking pages
The booking pages a shop's clients use are built on the same engine, with the same rules: keyboard use, named controls, reduced motion honoured, and large tap targets.
What we know is not right yet
Being honest about these is more use to you than a claim that everything is fine.
- Larger-text settings. The app does not yet follow the text size set in your phone's settings. Pinch-to-zoom works everywhere in the meantime.
- Keyboard focus in the app. When Forge Field is used with a keyboard (on an iPad, say), the outline around the selected control is the browser's default, which is faint on some screens.
- High-contrast mode. Neither the site nor the app has a dedicated high-contrast setting yet.
- Announcements in the app. When something changes on screen — you clock in, a save goes through — the change is shown but not yet spoken by a screen reader. You can hear it by moving to the control again.
All four are on our list. When one is fixed, this page changes the same day.
If something is in your way
Tell us. Say which page or screen and what happened, and we will write back. If it is stopping you from getting something done, we will get you the information another way while we fix it.

Support runs 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, including major holidays. Reports about accessibility are treated the same as any other thing that stops work.
How this was checked
Checked by OVRT Site Solutions in September 2026, by hand: keyboard-only use in a browser, VoiceOver on an iPhone, and the reduce-motion and zoom settings on iOS. The website is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript and works in current Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox. The apps run on iOS 16 or later and current Android.
